Project #3:Balance and Contrast

Project #3:Balance and Contrast

Kaleidoscope
I took this photo with the bright colors in mind, and when editing intensified the reds, and the pinks. This gives a vibrant feeling.
Kaleidoscope
This is a photo of a lamp that caught my eye in a furniture store in downtown Portland. Through cropping and rotation and flipping of the image I created a kaleidoscope. This kaleidoscope has a warm glow.

Kaleidoscope
While walking through downtown Portland and looking through stores, I casually took a photo of these sheets due to there color contrast. However, when put together in a kaleidoscope format it creates a suit and tie looking photo.

Strong Contrast in Value
While driving out of my garage notice How the raindrops on the on the roof had formed in large drops of water. They had a strong dark around them, which caught my eye. This photo shows Contrast between the dark and light values.

Symmetrical/ Radial Balance
This photo was taken while taken while on a mid-night walk. It Caught my eye because of it symmetrical balance, however looking at it now it has a almost radial balance with the trees branches. It has  a spooky feeling to it.

 Experimenting with Low Shutter Speed.
This a photo i took while experimenting with low shutter speed.

Diptych/ Color Contrast
While on a walk through the industrial area, I notice a particular wall that really stood out to me. It had a single blue door and bright orange and red ivy above it. This photo shows color contrast with the orange ivy and blue door.

Diptych
Over thanksgiving weekend I took this photo while on a hike. This is two separate photos of the sandy river that were taken a different times in the day. When put together they create a diptych that resemble one image.

Triptych
This photo was taken in the industrial area in portland, and shows the rustic side to Portland. I also used a slow shutter speed to capture the flags motion blur.

Triptych
This photo was taken in the pearl while on a mid-night walk. The first photo shows depth of field with the fountain and the extended background.
Triptych
This photo was taken In Powell's book store in downtown Portland. This triptych is of three separate photos taken throughout the store. I love this photo because of the variety.

Color and Mood

Mood Photo
This has a relaxed mood with its warm colors. In this photo I intensified the oranges, yellows, and reds, along with the purples.

Warm Colors
In this grid I intensified the oranges and enhanced
the yellows to give it a warm feeling. This photo grid radiates the yellows and oranges.

 Cool Colors
In this grid I intensified the greens and lowered the saturation of the bark. This gives a cooler feeling.

Color Complements
In this grid I took two separate photos of tree bark. In one I intensified the reds and yellows, while in the other I intensified the greens. When put together the colors complement each other.

Monochrome colors
In this grid I intensified the Greens. This photo is a monochrome because it shows green throughout the the photo.

This Photo was posted by Photo Mood. It seems that he/her intensified the purples, reds, and oranges  to radiate a relaxed, intense or almost romantic mood. Further editing was most likely used to enhance the mood.

My summer

This summer I spent most of my time camping, swimming, and hiking with my family. We have a tradition of going to warm springs and camping at Pelton Park Campground.
